I nearly scrapped EVERYTHING - Indie Game Devlog

I EXPANDED My Indie Game | Devlog


Here's the progress I made on my co-op, round-based zombie game since the last video. The game is a first person shooter set in World War 1, inspired by games like the Call of Duty franchise and Battlefield 1. I added recoil and camera shake, using the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as inspiration for how it should look. I also expanded the map so now you can open the barrier and progress to the next area. So, after 10 years in Unity, doing a ton of doodleing between real game development I was inspired last year to make an indie pirate / adventure game set in a tropical setting, where, aside from all the adventure, you can create your own experience by utilizing an unique personalization / difficulty system to shape the world and how it behaves around you. With Base Building, which is inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing New Horizon or ACNH, or Merchantry inspired by Sailwind. 1 YEAR of Progress on My Indie FPS - Devlog


One year of development on my co-op, round-based zombie FPS... sort of. I took some time off from game dev, but the game has come a loooong way since the last video, at least visually. A Week of Indie Game Dev Progress in 3 minutes - Devlog


This week I again worked on Entomophobia, Otok, Shrimp Game, and Dirt Simulator. Got many updates out between those games. An update to fix Dirt Simulator from the v1.07 patch that I shipped with broken code, which caused its rating to plummet. A small update to Entomophobia for mobile to add error reporting so that I have better knowledge of if the game is bugging out on people. Shrimp Game update with some minor error fixes and stuff. Then the Otok v1.0 update which includes the adobe building style that is shown off during the first and second days of progress from this week. And the Otok v1.01(mobile-specific) update which added a little 4-step tutorial, because there is a decent amount of 1-star reviews on iOS and I'm not sure whether it's because people do not understand the game, or they just dislike the Game. The original idea was to take inspiration from Vampire Survivors and Enter The Gungeon, however with my inability to figure out boss fights right now, it is much more Vampire Survivor-y, just with a dodge roll and controllable gun. Wishlist Little þorp Here: 🤍 Little þorp takes place on a 32x32 tile map. Where you must use the resources available to keep your villagers warm, fed, and hydrated for as long as you can. When the little ice ages come, you must manage your resources wisely to prevent a very cold sad death of your villagers. Making my dream Boss Rush Game | Indie Game Devlog


It has been decided, I have now become Dani 2. "Unnamed Game Project" is a Boss Rush type game where you play as "Entity", who is a bounty hunter. You collect bounties throughout your adventures, which lead you to the various bosses in the game. Fighting these bosses and exploring the world will earn you more reputation and money as you work to become the greatest bounty hunter to ever live. I created an indie racing game inside of unreal engine 5: Get ready for an intense 3D racing experience in Unreal Engine 5! In just 10 hours, I created a game from scratch, despite having no prior experience with racing games. Using the default vehicle template in UE5, I customized the car model with my own design created in Blender, added American road pavement from Quixel Bridge to upgrade the track, and added trees for a more immersive experience. I also added an A.I. car to race against and a timer for speedruns. With blocking volumes to keep players on track and a finish line complete with a winning screen, this game is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. INDIE GAME DEVLOG: My Journey Into Games Development


This indie game devlog is going to chronicle my journey into the world of game development. I am completely new to making games, outside of some level design, 3d classes in college. For this project I'm using Unreal Engine 5 and whatever tutorials I can find on the internet. The game itself will be a side scroller, platformer and dungeon crawler.
